How's life in central? It's boring as usual over here. Tell that führer grandfather of yours to transfer me to central, okay?
Speaking of men at central, how are things between you and Mustang, hmm? Finally confess your undying love for each other? You know, all you need to do is ask for a transfer and you two can go screw each other senseless actually have a relationship or whatever. Don't deny, it, you know it's true!
Oh, and how's Havoc doing? He's still in physical therapy right? Tell him hello from me!

Just because he's my grandfather doesn't mean I have any more authority than my position allows. If you want a tranfer, bring it up with someone with the power to make that happen. Until then, try to find time to visit, it would be nice to see you again. Life here is routine, that's the only description I have for it, I'm busy as ever.
As for Havoc he is greatful for your well wishes and says hello back. He's doing well in therapy, recovering faster than the average patient. He's a real soldier.
As for Mustang, things between us are normal, meaning there is no undying love that needs to be confessed or... the... screwing of anything that needs to be done. I've told you a million times things between us are strictly business and anything else has been fabricated in your own head. Send more letters, its a nice perk when I need a break from other paperwork

That's great! I'd probably have to go over there just to kick his ass if he weren't doing anything. I guess that's to be expected of Havoc, though. One thing you can say about the man is that he's dedicated and hot, let's face it, even if he does smoke like a chimney. He knows that he should stop that if he wants to live to see forty, right?
Oh please, Riza! Everyone knows it! If you two were in different departments, you'd be together. You know, I'm sure your grandfather would be more than happy to transfer you for that! He wants Mustang to be his successor, right? even if Mustang is a pompous asshat And everyone knows that you'd keep Mustang from doing something too stupid.
Of course I'll keep writing letters! It helps distract me from the absolute monotony here!

Listen, if an opportunity arises I can attempt to find some way to convince him that we need you in this area lest the world explode if that'll make you happy. And yes, he knows you, its just a transfer based on wanting to be closer to a friend doesn't seem very legitimate in the grand scheme of things. But to appease you, we'll see.
I'm well aware of your attraction to Havoc, Rebecca, you don't have to try to hide it from me. And I'm sure he's been told many times, some things just don't get through to him. If I had it my way he would have quit a long, long time ago.
Oh, back to transfers, he would not transfer me for anything stupid like that. I don't see what your obsession is with me and Mustang. Just because two people work closely doesn't mean they need to be together romantically. Actually, its frowned upon. This is the military, not a dance. If the Fuhrer wants him to be his successor then he will do it himself, no marriage needed. And I certainly don't need to be married to him to keep him from doing anything stupid. I have that power already.
I'll try to write back faster next time, things are getting a little more tiring here.

Awesome! You're the best! And if for some reason that fails and I don't get a transfer, I guess I'll just have to try to get a transfer from whoever does them here. It's just that it'd seem so much more impressive coming from the führer!
What attraction? The man smokes like a chimney. He's just a good soldier and a decent human being. I don't like him like that! He just… needs to quit smoking. Can't you send him to a doctor or mortician or something to show him how disgusting his lungs must look? Hey, I may not be in love with him or anything, but I don't want the guy to die, either.
Are you sure about that? It sounds like something that he might do. I know, I know, but it's you and Mustang, not some random couple! And, sure, I guess, but then Mustang's gonna be pressured to get married and if he doesn't marry you, what other woman would be able to put up with him and keep him under control? And if he gets married, then you'll be expected to marry... you should really just marry Mustang. It'll be easier in the long run.
You should write back sooner. You have no idea how long I waited...

My apologies, Mustang keeps me on my toes. And while I'm on that subject, his marriage will not effect my position... I mean we haven't talked about it, my job is to help him and keep him in line. When he reaches his goals, we will discuss what happens to me then. He might not even need me at that point, and I don't see why I would need to marry, even if he doesn't need me. There's no law written that Riza needs to marry. And its all about love, you have to love someone to put up with them like that.
Well, not like I do, I do it out of necessity, and its a job requirement. And part of a promise. But enough about that. If you want him to stop so bad, you should tell him yourself. He has a mind of his own that one, and about smoking? I doubt I could even get him to listen to me. I'm sure he'll come to realize it in due time.
And yes, why don't you talk to someone there about a transfer? I'm far too busy right now, so it would be easier and quicker if you got it done instead, you don't need me. It would be nice to have the company. I have no free time these days, which is probably best. I wouldn't have much to do otherwise. Expect another delay, he's in a paperwork crunch. Granted its his own fault, he should have finished all of this ages ago... but what can you do with the man? I'm afraid he's hopeless when it comes to time management. It wouldn't even get done if I wasn't there, that I'm sure of.

You need to marry him because you're madly in love with him and Grumman will probably say so eventually. Just get it over with already. And don't try that "strictly professional" crap with me, Riza. I can see right through you. You love him! You just need to admit it to yourself and then to him! And then you can get transferred to Armstrong's unit or be something for Grumman, and you can start your steamy affair with Mustang!
That, my friend, is because you don't spend your free time refining your feminine techniques. Okay, honestly, I doubt anyone'd be able to get him to stop I don't care that much, it would just suck for him to have lived through being attacked by a bitch homunculus and a coup d'état only to have him die from smoking. I mean, come on. That's a shitty death for anyone.
Fine, fine. It would still be so much more awesome if Grumman did my transfer himself, but fine, whatever. But if they put me in Mustang's unit, you know that I'm going to have lots of fun, right?

And the Fuhrer doesn't arrange marriages for goodness sake, Rebecca. I can't be transferred. I'm under Mustang for a reason, and I intend for things to stay that way until he doesn't need me there anymore. I don't love him, I am entitled to serve him by promise and position, nothing more.

Yes, it would be a great waste of years, anyways. I'm well aware of that, and I think he is, too. But let's let him get through physical therapy for now, we can deal with his addictions later.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but what do you mean by you'd have "so much fun" if transferred to Mustang's unit? Its hardly fun, its work, and hard work at that. Its not exactly a picnic over here in Central. Why don't you visit, though? Then I could request an afternoon off and we can have lunch or something?

I think that you're in love with Mustang because you are. You just can't admit that you are because of those fraternisation codes. I'm not saying that he'd arrange a marriage. He'd probably just find a way that the two of you would have to get married... like threaten to discharge one (or both) of you.

Its interesting Rebecca, I realized you haven't asked how anyone's doing but Havoc and Mustang, and for Mustang its only because of your fabricated romance novel you're got going on in your head. Do you have any sort of special interest in him? From all the questions you've asked about him, I'd say it might be something, even if a little thing, on your conscience? Just a thought...
I really hope you can make it down here, the weather's good for afternoons out. Let me know as soon as possible so I can arrange things ahead of time. I don't want him to refuse to dismiss me and I don't want him to use it as an excuse to slack, either.
And I doubt the Fuhrer cares about who we marry, why is it you think he even cares? And I don't see what sort of evidence you have towards your claim that I am in love with Mustang. Again, even if I was (and I'm not) it couldn't happen, and I refuse to sacrifice my position or his goals to make anything like that happen. If I wanted to. Meaning in a weird, alternate reality where I maybe would want to. Though I don't.
