HISTORY. Winry was born 1899 to the doctors Rockbell. When growing up she was extremely close to her childhood friends and neighbours Edward and Alphonse Elric. Rarely seen apart from them, the three often played together which usually ended up in Edward and Winry making remarks about eachother and Alphonse playing peace keeper. When she was younger, Winry's parents left the family home to be doctors on the battle front in the civil war. This left Winry distraught however she carried on, knowing that her parents were doing good for others until she was around the age of ten when it came home that they had been murdered, something that left her crushed. One night however left her changed forever, the rainy night that Alphonse carried Edward in. A few months later, Riza Hawkeye and Roy Mustang came looking for Edward to ask about him joining the military. Whilst drinking tea with Riza, Winry revealed that she hated the military and that she didn't want Edward to be taken away just like her parents. After being convinced that no one was going to take them away, and Edward confirming he wanted to become a state alchemist Winry decides to take on the role of his mechanic. Over the years Winry has been with the brothers as much as she can, scolding and helping them along the way. Slowly she crouched down, reaching under the bed and pulling out a suitcase and pulling clothes off hangers, discarding them on the floor with a loud bang. In a few minutes the case was full, practically bursting apart with the amount of badly packed supplies and mechanical equipment.
