in love with Prince Mathieu
Prince Mathieu is a big manslut. He sleeps with any girl that's pretty and willing, however, they have to have some level of class (i.e. they can't be a commoner).
This is a problem for Miss Moreau. She is totally and completely in love with Prince Mathieu (even if no one understands why; he's a complete asshole to her).
It's ironic because if she weren't a commoner, she would essentially be Mathieu's perfect girl (smart, easy to get along with, and, well... more than willing to do whatever he wants in bed)
If you look at subplot #2, she saves his father with alkahestry... and then forces Mathieu to marry her because she got the king to agree to her right to marry anyone she wishes if she cured him.
She's really very sweet and kind and gentle, and she honestly adores Mathieu. She's not going to lock him in a room or anything; she just wants him to love her (and realises that the chances of that happening are very slim).
Mathieu is wishing that she never gets taken, but I want to play out this subplot so much! (and I think I win over him).
